Not far from Monteverde in Costa Rica are the Viento Fresco Waterfalls. A trail managed by a local community gives a taste of real adventure. This is not very popular place. Walking down the steep paths in the woods, you can have all the waterfalls to yourself. While here, we encountered no one. The natural rainforest experiences are much more authentic here than the crowded suspension bridges.
