Belize was a little disappointment for us. The country is tourist-oriented, but prices are on the high side when compared to all other Central American region. High prices do not necessarily mean high-quality of services or beautiful hotels. The biggest surprise for us, however, was the fact that in rural areas everyone speaks only Spanish, even though English is the official language.
