The 'inside-out' building

Opened to the public in 1977, the museum of modern art, Centre Pompidou in Paris, France was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. This is an example of an 'inside-out' building with its structural system exposed on the exterior of the building. Initially the structure was received with mixed opinions, but over the years it stared to be recognized as the influential architectural idea that changed the modern architecture.
