Union Church of Pocantico

Funded by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., neo-Gothic style Union Church of Pocantico (upstate New York, USA) is in a close proximity to the Kykuit Rockefeller estate. This little church is worth a visit because of the unusual stained glass windows. The French artist Henri Matisse designed the rose window right above the altar and Marc Chagall designed nine windows in the nave of the church. The largest of them entitled “Good Samaritan” is dedicated in honor of the founder of the church.
