Hindu Pura (temple) Luhur Uluwatu is told to be one of the oldest on Bali. It is located on the edge of the cliff, high above the waves of the Indian Ocean. Uluwatu is one of the shore temples dedicated to worshipping the god of the sea. It also protects Bali from the evil spirit coming from the ocean.

Kecak Presentation.
The Kecak Dance performance at the Luhur Uluwatu temple could be a great experience, but unfortunately it is not. The organizers allow unlimited number of guests letting them to sit and stand on the stage. With time a mini theater becomes so overcrowded that it is hard to see the show. Performance itself is a very poor. Actors do not play or dance. The simply seek to entertain audiences in a very primitive way. The Ramayana story told here is just a farce not an artistic presentation. The Kecak show at Luhur Uluwatu temple is a typical tourist trap.
