Montezuma Castle

Cliff dwellings known today as Montezuma Castle (Arizona, USA) are dated from AD 1100 to 1400. Persistent five-story buildings contain more than 20 rooms. Location in the rocky cliffs, provided chill and protection against strong sun rays in summer, and help to survive cold winds and frost in winter. The nearby stream supplied water for living and for irrigation of nearby fields.
