The Gates was a project that took place in Central Park in February 2005. Christo and Jeanne-Claude brought their art to New York City. 7,500 gates moving constantly in the wind were installed on 37 km / 23 miles of park's walkways.

This work of art reminded me the slopes of Mount Inari and paths of thousands tori (gates) of Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine in Japan.
